Outrage Over Alleged Vial of Reagan's Blood Auction - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Ronald Reagan’s blood is triggering outrage among his family and foundation. Claiming to have a blood sample from former President Ronald Reagan’s assassination attempt in 1981, the son of a former employee of Bio Science Laboratory in Columbia, Maryland is selling the vial on a British auction house website.

The 5 inch glass vial is marked with a white label listing the President’s name and the doctor's name at George Washington University Hospital where Reagan was admitted. The label also lists the President’s birth date incorrectly as February 2nd, 1911.

An auction house spokesperson states that the seller’s late mother was given permission to take it from the laboratory a few weeks after the tests were conducted, although Michael Reagan, son of the President, claims the item is “bogus” and the seller is “lying to everybody”.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is criticizing the sale of the alleged vile and says it “will use every legal means to stop its sale or purchase” and an investigation at George Washington Hospital is underway.
