Almond tree

And I still couldn't understand
how can die a woman
that is loved.

It has sprouted in my garden an almond tree
and thus it's tender that it barely breaths;
but each day, each dawn withers it
and it won't give me the pleasure of its flower.

And alas! I have so much love for it...
Every morning I go close to it and I kneel
and with water and tears I water it
the almond tree that it has sprouted in my garden.

Oh, the lie of its life will end;
all the leaves that haven't fallen, they'll fall down
and its branches will remain bare woods.
It won't give me the spring of its flower

But I, the poor man, I had so much love for it...
