NYC Bans Words Like Birthday, Poverty from School Exams

The New York City Department of Education has released a list of 50 topics banned from exams because a selection of students might find them offensive. While some of the forbidden issues, like drugs and gambling are understandable, Tim Minton thinks others, like cancer and poverty, belong in studies.
