In Buenos Aires at least 40 commuters have been killed in a crash at the busy Once station officials have confirmed. There are fears the number could rise as many passengers remain trapped in the wreckage.
Over 500 have been injured, many of whom were laid out on one of the platforms as they waited to be taken to hospital.
