Lithuanian Sutartines - The Choir on the Roof

Musicians from New York City - drummers Dalius Naujo-Naujokaitis, Kenny Wollesen, saxophonist Jonathon Haffner and and multi-instrumentalist from San Diego, CA Sean Francis Conway played series of concerts at the Fluxus Ministry in Vilnius, Lithuania last fall (October 25 - 29, 2011). This is one of the projects that it was made by Dalius Naujo, Sean Francis Conway, Kenny Wollesen and Jonathon Haffner. Dalius invited about forty young Lithuanian singers to sing Lithuanian unique archaic polyphonic songs SUTARTINES. That was an amazing combination of American avant-garde artists playing with Lithuanian Choir who sang old polyphonic chants on the roof of the building in the middle of the Lithuanian Capital Vilnius. The mayor of Vilnius Arturas Zuokas was an active participant of this project. He helped a lot to make those concerts come to life.
