This is a Fly River turtle, they are also known as the pig-nosed turtle, they are probably the cutest thing you have ever seen. They have got big old flippers. They can get up to eighteen inches. They are not very common in the pet industry yet, but they are probably one of the most sought after turtles that we have out here.
They are very cool, they are herbivorous, they require very large enclosures to swim around, like this little guy, I had probably want to toss him into a 60 gallon full to the top with plants, I mean full to the top with water, and lots of aquatic plants for him to eat on. They love anacharis; they love any type of romaine, collard greens, kale. And they are very active. They are one of the most beautiful turtles to watch swim around, it is better than watching birds fly.
