The song is about a young man's struggle during the Thatcher years, leaving school to mass unemployment and growing up in a small town in Wales, left him with no future! He decides to leave to find his fortune in the Big City... Only to discover that the City wasn't so pretty and certainly not pathed with gold! The harsh reality of drugs, squats, crime and depravation hits home very fast... Autobiographically written by Viv Huskings in the 80's.....
