Cebu was formally named by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) City of Culture for its creative industry and strength in performing and culinary arts, among others which embody the rich uniqueness of its local culture and emerging creative industries made it a perfect fit to ASEAN’s search for cities that promote the ASEAN identity.
