Deux jeunes femmes visitent le musée du Louvre avant de prendre le train pour célébrer les fiançailles de l'une d'elle. Elles passent devant un tableau de la Renaissance, Gabrielle d'Éstrées, le regardent à peine et pourtant, par mimétisme des situations, celui-ci se convoque dans leur vie.
The great masterpieces of painting are living beings. They have the capacity to influence our thoughts and minds and to modify reality itself. Two young women visit the Louvre just before taking the train to celebrate one of the girls' wedding engagement. They pass in front of a Renaissance painting, that of Gabrielle d'Estrées, by an anonymous painter at the end of the sixteenth century. Just a quick glance, but however the painting suddenly starts to mimic situations and begins to play a real role in their lives.
