This Hunting Tip by http://www.muddcreek.com/ is a great way to track your location with the GPS in your smart phone. I use a Droid X in this video but any GPS enabled device such as an iPhone will work as well. You can see your exact location in a program like Google Maps and then send a text message to one or all of your hunting buddies with your location. This is ideal for emergency situations or can be combined with text messaging to track animal movements such as deer and elk. If you have service where you are hunting, why wouldn't you use the technology that you already have?
