Salsa Step 2: Cross Body Lead - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats. I would like to now show you step number two in the salsa. In order to do so, I will take my partner Sarit by the hands and do step one, the salsa basic. Now what I am going to do is I am going to pass Sarit off to the other side of my body and that will be called "cross body lead" because she is going across my body. All she does is take her back, rock, and then walk across the front of me. We're still on the timing of the basic step, which is "one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight" or "quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow. Quick, quick, slow, quick, quick, slow". And that is step number two, the cross body lead.
