I have a little monocle pendant. It is pretty neat. You can actually use it to magnify and see things closer. So, I am going to start off with using my jump rings to attach the clasps onto the chain. I am going to use my needle nose pliers in combination of each other to open and shut the jump rings. So here, I have opened the jump ring, attached it to the end of the chain and onto the spring clasp. Then I am going to use the tools in combination of each other to close it up. Before I attach the other end, I want to slide it through the pendant bale, because once I put the ends on, it is a lot harder to get the chain onto the pendant. So, again, I am going to use my tools in combination of each other to open and shut these jump rings. I am going to slide it onto the end of the chain, and I am also going to attach a slightly bigger jump ring because that jump ring is going to be where the clasp catches onto. You do not want to put it on the smaller one because it makes for a weaker necklace. So, now you will see the little jump ring, or bigger jump ring. So now what I do is when I go to catch it onto the clasp, you have a closure. However, I do want to add a little charm to it, to personalize it. A lot of people like to personalize their jewelry. In history, the whole point of jewelry was it had purpose. So here we have a double purpose. We have the monocle to magnify things, and then we have the little charm to personalize it. So, I am going to attach that charm onto the chain to dangle along the side of the monocle. So again, I am using my tools in combination of each other to attach onto the bale of the charm and then hook it onto the chain so that it can move around. I am going to use my tools together to shut that jump ring. And then we have the necklace made. As you can see, the monocle kind of magnifies the charm.
