http://www.ucrystal.com. The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption is a structural masterpiece and a well-known landmark in San Francisco. The roof was such designed that it curves up from a square base to form a cross on the top.
Based on some photos, a 3D model was constructed and laser engraved into 3D crystals. The 3D laser crystal engraving utilizes green semiconductor laser to form the image inside the crystals while keeping the surface unchanged.
The laser engraved 3D model can be viewed from all directions. This video shows a 360 degree view of the magnificent building.
