A World of Two Halves

Feb 3, 2011-A Mega Blizzard that affected much of the U.S, buried major metropolitan areas in snow and ice, causing power blackouts and stranding hundreds of motorists in their vehicles. The extreme weather events were not confined to the Northern Hemisphere as an unprecedented Super Cyclone struck Northern Australia, carving out a path of catastrophic destruction to an area already suffering from major flooding.
