Alan Alda: The Meaning of Laughter ... and Other Things 1/6
  • 13 years ago
In Alan Alda’s view “(MASH) tried not to trivialize the real life experiences of the people we were playing, and one of the best things for us was real people had lived those lives, so there was always a sense I think that no matter how silly we got, there were actual people who had suffered through that real experience and you had to be silly in ways that didn't ignore their lives, most of the time I think we did that.”
For more than half a century, Alan Alda has been in show business. As an actor, writer and director of plays, movies, books and television programs, he has charmed, inspired, informed and challenged his audiences.
