Sarkozy Pays Tribute to 2008 Mumbai Victims

And French President Nicolas Sarkozy paid tribute to the police officials killed in the Mumbai attack in 2008. Sarkozy's wife also attended the ceremony.

On Tuesday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy pays tribute to the police officials who lost their lives in the Mumbai attack on November 26, 2008.

Sarkozy laid a floral wreath on the police memorial stone, while his wife Carla Bruni stood at attention to pay tribute to the martyrs.

French Marine officers also paid tribute at the memorial site.

Pakistan-based militants killed 166 people in a 60-hour rampage through India's financial hub, gunning down their victims at luxury hotels, a train station and a Jewish center.

Sarkozy will visit the Taj and Oberoi hotels in the city, where much of the violence transpired, to attend memorial services for the victims of the attacks.
