Activists have been protesting against nuclear power for decades - especially in the area around the Gorleben depot in Lower Saxony. The German government’s plans to extend the lives of nuclear power plants and to resume research into a possible permanent disposal site have prompted protesters to regroup.It’s reminiscent of what happened 30 years ago, when the anti-nuclear movement in this area began.
