Dappy from hip hop outfit N-Dubz has been caught on camera taking drug Meow Meow in an Essex nightclub before its recent ban.
The 22-year-old star was filmed snorting the drug in the back room of the club in the early hours after performing at a nearby venue.
Apologising to fans he warned them off taking the drug, saying he had learnt from his mistake. "I'm more than glad that they've banned this thing, because I've seen how many people are dying off it...it's just not a thing to be doing...I will never do such a thing again."
The drug mephedrone, known as meow meow, has been the subject of much debate in the press and Parliament after being linked to a number of deaths in the UK.
Dappy's indiscretion came just a few weeks before its classification as a Class B drug.

The book also tells the stories of the rest of the group's troubled backgrounds, but bandmate Tulisa is adamant that she hasn't given into temptation, saying: "I don't condone drugs, I've never touched them, never will."
