Most of the speculation about the American version of The X Factor has centred on Cheryl Cole, but someone else is hoping to land a role when the show heads across the pond. Sinitta has her fingers crossed for a job on Simon Cowell's latest TV venture.
The 80s pop star has been a part of the original UK series since it started in 2004, regularly helping good friend and judge Simon to whittle down the contestants. The 41-year-old has spoken to the music mogul about taking part in the all new US show, but knows that there is no guarantee.
"I have told him that I want to and he said 'it shouldn't be a problem,' But that's not really a yes is it." said Sinitta.
Cheryl Cole, meanwhile, has pointed out that if she were to head to American X Factor, viewers there may not understand her Geordie accent. But Sinitta has the solution. She said: "If I were Cheryl, I would take elocution lessons. It's very easy. I'm American and I have an english accent."
But the mum-of-two insists the Girls Aloud star's personality is bound to win over US audiences. "She is beautiful, she's warm. I think they'll love her," said Sinitta.
