In the latest production of Handel's baroque opera Agrippina at the State Opera Unter den Linden in Berlin,patrons are in for a special visual treat. None other than French designer Christian Lacroix was recruited for the costume design - and he says for him,opera and haute couture are very similar things - extraordinary occasions that require extraordinary garments.
