episode guide for God of Wrath, and the two men are not the plot. They are two different measuring instruments.
Landon measures her by what she will tolerate. Every kind word is calibrated to exactly what she has already accepted, and he never miscalculates, which is why it takes years.
Jeremy measures her by what she has not admitted. He asks for things she would not say out loud, and the horror is that she recognises them.
So the middle of the series is not a battle for her. It is two men reading the same woman off two different pages.
✨ What worked for me:
- Both men are written as accurate. Neither is confused about her.
- She is the last person in the room to know anything.
✨ Bottom line: one wanted her patience, one wanted her honesty.
