00:07welcome to living word my name is payton and i'm hayley and we're so excited to have you here to
00:12celebrate our 40th anniversary now this is a two-day event tonight you're gonna hear from
00:17some amazing speakers and get some great wisdom but tomorrow we want to make sure we invite every
00:22family out to our family festival where we're gonna have a bunch of family activities both
00:27inside and outside the building we're gonna have a train out in the parking lot to take the kiddos
00:30out for a spin we're gonna have mini golf arcade basketball inflatables dirty sodas cupcakes food
00:37trucks anything you can name it's gonna be here we hope to see you tomorrow night we also want to
00:42tell
00:43you a little bit about us and who we are as living word we are all about building strong homes
00:48and
00:48families that experience every promise of god and some of the ways we do that is on saturday nights
00:54we give all the parents the opportunity to have date night which means we watch our kids for two
00:58hours after our 5 p.m service which gives you the opportunity to go and spend time with your spouse
01:03we also have wednesday night family nights at 6 30 p.m where we have both men's and women's bible
01:09studies
01:09as well as youth and kids there is truly something for everyone here at living word so now that you
01:14know a little bit about us take a look at some of our early beginnings
01:25founding pastors of living or bible church 40 years ago where do we even begin yeah well a couple
01:35years before it started i had come home from the bible study i went to take a little nap and
01:41i went to lay
01:42down and then i went right into a trance it was a big tall oak tree and there was this
01:48this green grass
01:50and god was talking to me as he was showing me these things so i then i went into a
01:56deep sleep i i woke up
01:58and i thought what is god trying to tell me i mean he kind of talked along the way of
02:05of illustrations
02:06and he said you're gonna have a church and then i just being honest i said i don't want a
02:13church
02:14that was true never dreamt of it and then i stopped i repented i said i will do whatever you
02:21want when i
02:21just got saved i said to the lord i'll do whatever you put in front of me and boy did
02:26he put something
02:27in front of me yes and then about two years later we came home from a trip and and we
02:37found out we
02:38had a church a man in apache junction gave me the building and the mortgage and no people and uh
02:46we
02:46began having church it was a two-bedroom house with a little kitchen first sunday was 80 people 80
02:54showed up from everywhere they drove they were standing in the kitchen looking through the
02:59opening at the surface
03:05if you had only one sentence how would you describe everything god has done through this church in the
03:11last 40 years i think it's building strong families and homes and the restoration we've seen in
03:16marriages i think that is the miracles that we've seen the lives that have been touched and the impact
03:22that we've had not just on the city the state the nation of the world and to let you all
03:26know i'm
03:26not very good at english i don't know if that was one sentence or two well you know i can't
03:31imagine i
03:32i think i have a hard time coming up with a sentence i can't imagine all that god has done
03:37through living
03:37word one sentence um i would say transform lives but more than that i would say transformed families and i
03:48say that because i've seen multiple people come through this church um i'm reminded actually of
03:55a couple they drove by the church and saw that there was a marriage conference and they were about
04:01to get divorced yes that day and they decided well let's just try this church and they came in and
04:08they
04:08heard the message that night they got prayer they got hooked up with the marriage class ministry
04:14and years later they had children and i'm still married still married happy they were transformed
04:23by the word but also by you know our church is growing strong word and faith families and we've
04:30really stayed true to that calling on this church if you could share one thing with every sailing at
04:37living word about the future of our church what would it be i think that our future is going to
04:42be
04:42really impactful i know that we're continuing to change homes and families and lives yeah i was
04:49just thinking you know um god's not done with us you know living word still has a tremendous amount to
04:55do and accomplish and so and we're just getting started get up to your feet give a huge living
