01:22now when i was asked to be a part of this celebration i only had one response it's about time
01:31yes because robin has been a star for a long time and hollywood is just now catching up
01:40i want to tell you about this woman robin roberts is an emmy winner a peabody winner a disney legend
01:47a best-selling author and the recipient of the author ash courage award that's a lot
01:53that's a lot of stuff that is quite a lot she's also in the sports broadcasting hall of fame
02:01and the women's basketball you're just collecting trophies and and honors and everything so this
02:08story is right on time um robin was breaking barriers at espn and becoming one of america's
02:18most beloved faces on good morning america she has built a career on three things excellence

02:31and the beautiful thing about robin is that she can interview anyone and make you feel
02:37like she's still that girl down the street i love that that is a true gift but what makes robin

03:29greatest love of my life jessica betts robin was one of the first people i told this is absolutely
03:37a true story and i knew that when we announced our marriage you know i i figured people would say
03:45things but we actually broke the internet we broke the internet with our announcement and i called robin
03:53and i said when it comes to sharing our love story with the world i want you to be the

04:01journalist to do it not just because you're one of the best in the business but because i trusted her
04:07deeply with this personal place i was in she handled our love story with dignity care and grace
04:15she didn't just let me tell my story she made space for me to feel safe enough to share my
