00:03it's like you're handing off something really special.

00:06I can't wait to show you guys.

00:08It was an iconic, valuable piece of history.

00:15I just was like, no one touch it.

00:17I just don't want anyone to, like, mess up this cape.

00:22Elizabeth Taylor had this gorgeous black velvet cape

00:26for the 40th birthday party of Princess Grace.

00:30The princess decided that because she's a Scorpio,

00:32she would have a Scorpio ball.

00:34The cape was lined in white satin

00:36with two crystal scorpions on the front and one on the hood.

00:41The way that cape is constructed is immaculate.

00:44It's a truly beautiful piece of clothing history.

00:48How cool would it be to somehow find this cape

00:52that I knew was auctioned off after Elizabeth Taylor passed away?

00:56Christie's reached out to the owners,

00:59and they said, that's a hard no.

01:01I don't take no for an answer.

01:03You can rest assured, I will not stop, and I will win.

01:06So I called back and I said,

01:08did you happen to mention who it was for?

01:11They called and said,

01:12Kris Jenner would love to buy the cape.

01:14And they go, okay.

01:16So one night at dinner, I'm talking to Ryan Murphy,

01:19who I'm producing this show with.

01:21He said, why don't we do our own Scorpio ball?

01:25Filming at the Scorpio ball was so much fun.

01:28It honestly looked identical to my mom's 70th birthday party.

01:33It's exactly how I envisioned it.

01:36This meticulous Scorpio couldn't be more proud.

01:39Dressing Kim is an amazing experience.

01:42It's like dressing a Barbie doll, and you have a budget.

01:45I came on set, and Kim had her hair and her makeup and her dress

01:50almost identical to how Elizabeth Taylor had it that night at the Scorpio ball.

01:55My initial reaction was, this is perfect.

01:58Kim sort of embodies like a modern-day Elizabeth Taylor.

02:01It's been a real honor and a pleasure

02:04to be able to be the custodian of such a beautiful piece.
