00:00A report on misconduct within West Midlands Police shows 19 officers and staff were sacked
00:06during 2025-26. Six of those dismissals followed fast-track hearings against officers. A further
00:1423 would have been dismissed if they had not already left the force before their hearings.
00:20The figures are set out in papers for the West Midlands Police and Crime Panel. Other outcomes
00:25included a reduction in rank, a final written warning and one case where no further action
00:31was taken. The report says calling a hearing does not mean misconduct has been proved. Those
00:37involved can explain their behaviour and the evidence is considered before a decision is made.
