A new robot gym has opened in Munich where humans would train humanoid robots to help them learn tasks, use tools and be safer. Skills learned can be put on a common platform. How could this help you? Let's find out.

00:00A gym for robots has just opened in Munich.
00:02But they're not building muscles there.
00:04They're training their brains.
00:06There's still a human-robot disability gap which you have to close.
00:11And this is actually where we're coming into these gyms.
00:13Inside, around 100 humanoid and service robots train across 48 cells.
00:19They learn tasks like handling objects, assembling components and using tools
00:23to operate safely in the real world.
00:26And it isn't only for the teams running the gym.
00:28Outside researchers, universities and companies can also request access to develop and test robot skills.
00:35It's actually a physical space where everyone can go to and actually bring their task.
00:42Try it out. And if it doesn't work, just train it.
00:45So do the task with the embodiment of the robot.
00:48And then actually solve the task with it and then create a skill for that.
00:53And the cool thing about this is actually that you can actually keep the skill for yourself.
00:57Or you can actually license it on our platform so others can have advantage of it and you earn something
01:03out of it.
01:03With this approach, German Neura Robotics is trying to catch up.
01:08Many companies license such physical AI data from India, China and other Asian countries.
01:13You've probably seen Indian factory workers wearing body cameras to record repetitive tasks for physical AI training data.
01:22So what are all these robots training for?
01:24The hope is that they could eventually take on heavy routine tasks in factories, warehouses and even care.
01:31Would that make your job easier or would it make you nervous?
