10:22I feel the reason I was so apprehensive to talk about it was because many people worked very hard on

10:32Because it's important that I take ownership for my half of whatever that fiasco was.
10:39Because it weighs heavily on my conscience the sort of negative impact a narrative like that can have on our
10:44society.

10:47And I think that shame I'll always carry with me.

10:51Could I have been more vigilant?

11:03But yeah, I mean, the only thing I can do is to ensure that that doesn't happen again.
11:07Again, I feel like I went through the beats of really beating myself up of I should have been more
11:11vigilant.

11:13And again, I don't like saying this because it sounds like I'm shifting blame.
11:17But you know what it's like, you feel like what the director says is professional, so I was really navigating
11:24like how to make things less problematic as best I thought as in when information was becoming available to me.
11:32Because you know this, like in the South there very rarely is a bound script.

11:36And very rarely in those scripts do you see where the camera angles are.
11:39But having said that, I need to also take responsibility for my half of it.
11:43I do come from a place of privilege.
11:45I should have taken advantage of that because I'm going to get the shit for being privileged anyway.

11:54But did you somewhere feel let down by the filmmaker?
11:56Did you feel disappointed at that time?

12:18trying to articulate discomfort throughout the course of shooting, even post-production.

12:31twice before they present a lead actress this way.
