Start a tally. Every time somebody in that house says thank you out loud, mark it. Then do the same for chores. Meals. Boards waxed. Phones answered.

The second list is long. The first is embarrassingly short.

The show never comments on it. No speech about invisible labour. The camera just keeps showing work happening and nobody naming it.

By the time he leaves, the house is not guilty. It is unprepared. It never learned what it had been receiving.

- The first thank-you in the run comes from a stranger, not family
- Nobody thanks him for the thing that mattered most

✨ Bottom line: neglect rarely looks like cruelty. It looks like good manners going one direction.
