00:00The war, the economy, and basically what I don't think everybody else thinks is I think
00:09this is a very racist white nationalist country and that's why I'm leaning to the left.
00:17I think there will be a big movement to the left which I advocate and unfortunately I think too
00:26many people are not going to bother to vote and will stay home and I think that's a great tragedy
00:32of this country. I vote for everybody on the Working Families Party. Why? Because I believe
00:42in their values. Such as? Such as the same thing that the Democrats are advocating,
00:54but I have less faith in the Democratic Party than I do in the Working Families Party.
01:03I love this country. I am happy today because we are going to the vote today.
01:14I vote for the Trump. I like him, but now I see it's no good. Basically it's no good. So
01:24I,
01:25my mind this, I say, no, this year I make a vote in the Democrat, not the Republican.
01:34When Republican work is very good. I see, I go again, but it's stop right now. I make a vote
01:43in the
01:43Democrat Party.
01:52Before, it's very good. We make money, but right now no people came into my car because tourist is not
02:03coming here because everything is the fact of everything in the New York City. And before
02:13we buy a lot of things in the, uh, the price is low, but now it's too high.
02:27I think it's a Democrat is the win. I think because the, it's better.
02:38Yeah. One thing that really has us or kind of affects us is the homelessness in the area.
02:48Unfortunately, I think things will probably stay the same. Yeah.
02:52Unfortunately, I just think we have a largely Democratic voter base in the city. And I think
02:58for it to change, we'd have to have a Republican come into office. And I just don't see that happening.
03:05I obviously, based on what we've seen already, voter turnout is high, which is a good thing.
03:09More people should be voting. Um, we only get about a third of people who are actually
03:14eligible to vote. So because of the current situation in our country, thankfully people
03:18are motivated to use their voice to say with the direction they want our country to go in.
03:24I mean, obviously, um, governance in all forms, because we're fighting a war that we haven't
03:33actually had good discussion about where the economy is not great for most people in this country. Um,
03:42and even if you do seem to kind of have your head above water, it's just above water. So I,
03:48I think that no
03:49matter what the current administration is saying, people know that they're struggling and no amount
03:55of kind of gaslighting can change that, you know, you're struggling. Um, it was a mix. It was a mix.
04:02I'm not party registered. I'm an independent. So, um, there were some of them were working family
04:07candidates, some of them, which a lot of those are Democratic candidates, but some were Democratic,
04:11a couple of Republicans for certain things. But for the most part, um, I guess for the most part,
04:17Democratic. I want change. What kind of change? Change the, the rule, what they do now,
04:26because it's too much like they changed, they changed the about the Medicaid.
04:32I'm looking for Acacia Bottoms to win. That's, that's it. I, I, I vote straight Democrat. I mean,
04:38let's get down to it. I vote a straight Democrat right now. You know, we've got, um, the Republicans,
04:44they're pretty much, um, you know, kind of, kind of running things and the results are not good.
04:50The results are definitely not good. So if you want to make a change, get down here, exercise your
04:56right to vote, you know, and, um, and let's, and let's see what happens. Well, I mean, the country,
05:02if you're watching American politics around the world, which I know a lot of people are,
05:06it feels like we're on the precipice. And I know that people say that a lot,
05:10but it really does feel like that now that if we do not use our voice with our vote to
05:16try to put
05:17some changes in place, it feels like we're going to be too far gone. And so this is not just
05:22a vote
05:22for who gets elected tonight. This is for future generations. We have to reset the course that the
05:28United States is on. The world needs to see our votes. This current administration needs to see our
05:34votes. And so we need to be clear about where we stand as a country. Because of what's going on
05:39in
05:39the country, uh, and in the state, but in the country, uh, I just want more Democrats in. Republicans
05:48have shown their true colors. They're not thinking for themselves. They've been, they're thinking for
05:54someone else, the head man, uh, in charge. That's who they, the Republicans are thinking like and with,
06:01and that's not good. Today is, it's about change. Um, like I said, I'm not really into politics
06:08where I know I'm just out here just for the next person. You never know the next,
06:13the, my vote might count for the, for the, for other people. So I'm just out here trying to support.
06:27Uh, my hopes for tonight is that Ohio does the right thing for the future and doesn't vote on emotion.
06:32And that here in UA, we require our, um, our leaders to write issues well and not just ask us
06:43to vote to spend a little more money. Uh, fingers crossed, it all works out. Um,
06:49blew all the way. I'm tired of everything that's going on, hoping for some moral decency and,
06:54you know, get back on track and focusing on the people. Then, you know, your own interest,
06:58basically. That's kind of where I'm at. So fingers crossed, it all works out.
07:04I feel like Republicans have had control of Ohio for 30 years and we've done nothing but see, um,
07:10um, population increase while prices have increased and our, um, taxes have increased.
07:17Everything's just a lot more expensive and, uh, the Republicans haven't done anything to help
07:21the working class. So it's time for a change. Happy first Asian governor or the first women
07:30governor. I feel good about it. I think it's important. I think maybe people get intimidated
07:37by some of the choices and the issues, but I think it's important to go out and do it anyway.
07:41So I just encourage everyone to do that and I'm glad I did it for myself. I actually voted for
07:47Mike
07:47Rogers and I think it has a lot to say. Um, when the candidate who ran a primary against Abdul
07:56Sayed decided that they were not going to support him, there was some kind of problem that occurred
08:02within the party, the Democratic Party. She elected to support the opposition, which is very rare. It
08:09never happens. So I got to believe that there's something there. He is a little bit more progressive
08:15than I would like. I would not like to see somebody be that ambitious to tackle all the problems.
08:20Who's going to pay for all the stuff that he wants to do? There just isn't the money. The people
08:24that are going to pay for it are you and me else else. I'll say I cannot have never pronounced
08:29this
08:29name. Excuse me for messing your name up. They'll say it, but also to bring down the gas prices,
08:34the grocery prices, um, the utilities, just the things that everyday families is suffering with.
08:41We go into to get the grocery store. We can barely afford food. The gas prices, we got to go
08:47to work.
08:47And it's, it's ridiculous that my little car that used to take $30 is now almost taking 50.
08:53It's ridiculous. Family shouldn't have to go through this. And I'm just not happy with the current
08:57administration. It's about a 50-50, I think. Michigan needs, uh, tweaking, let's say. And, uh,
09:07the federal, uh, there's a lot of hard work being done. And, uh, some of it I like, some of
09:15it I don't.
09:16But, uh, so it is. And voting is important. It's been worse. It's been, it has been worse.
09:22It's been worse. It's been better. And we're praying for America.
09:26I'm looking for change. Some people in the same office or have been in government office,
09:31they know how government works. And that helps. And sometimes you just have to pick
09:37the lesser of two evils. Ooh, there's a lot of stake in their race. Of course,
09:41I voted for Abdul El-Sayed. Um, I just feel like it's very, uh, charged, like racially charged.
09:49And a lot of, like, liberties have been up in the balance and taken away from us. And I wanted
09:54to
09:54make sure that I made an informed choice about who I was going to pick for that and who can
09:58lead the
09:59charge and make sure that they're standing up for everyone and not just their own interests.
10:02For me, um, checks and balances are chief among, uh, the most important issues right now. We have
10:10a totally unchecked, uh, corrupt, uh, current leader, uh, as the president. And
10:16Susan Collins, uh, has continued to enable, uh, bad action, uh, in this regard. So I did not vote for
10:24her, obviously. I voted for Troy Jackson. I am glad to vote for him. I hope that we will be
10:29able to reign in
10:30the, uh, unbelievable corruption. And I, uh, this is my hope. To me, uh, the issues include getting
10:38corruption out of government. No one should be able to trade as many stocks as Trump has,
10:43with insider information controlling all of the markets. This is like, uh, obviously fraud,
10:49obviously corruption. And, uh, I think this should be, this is untenable with the American way of life.
10:56I voted for Troy Jackson, um, because he has promised and made very compelling arguments that he
11:04will, uh, that he will attempt to lower the cost of living, work hard for Medicaid benefits,
11:10and work hard to bring back social security benefits, which is very important to my, my family
11:14personally. The most pressing, pressing matters to me have been, uh, the, the voting for the war in Iran.
11:21I've been very worried about external conflicts for, for the U.S. for a long time. And I think
11:27somebody in office that will help deescalate those conflicts will be very necessary in the years to come.
11:33I also think that rising inflation costs is very dangerous. And so I've been voting for people that
11:38have been promising to help lower those inflation, that inflation and those costs, because it's becoming
11:44very dangerous to live around here. I believe very firmly in a woman's right to choose and a woman's
11:51right to terminate her pregnancy. And if that right is erased, it will lead to much more unsafe procedures
11:58for women and much more, um, danger for women in society. So I support a woman's right to choose,
12:04and I hope my vote reflects that. On the federal side, I voted for Troy Jackson and Matt Dunlap.
12:11And I voted for them because, I mean, I tend to vote blue no matter what. Uh, I feel like
12:18the
12:18Republican Party is incredibly corrupt, especially under Donald Trump. I tend to support Democratic
12:24issues much more than, than, uh, Republican issues. And of course, one of those is, is healthcare,
12:31education, uh, tax fairness. Pretty much a straight Democratic ticket. And, and, and again,
12:37just because in the past, I, I wasn't so, uh, focused on parties, but I think the, you know,
12:45the Republican Party has become the Trump Party. And I just don't feel comfortable voting for anyone
12:49associated with Trump. Um, I voted for Democratic ticket. I voted for Hannah and Troy and Shelley,
12:57who I all feel like I'm on a first name basis with, I guess, um, voted because we need change
13:03in this
13:04country desperately. And I think that starts with our states. Um, and they all have the experience to get
13:09it done. I'm hopeful. Yeah. I voted for Troy Jackson. Uh, the issues that were important to me are
13:19social justice, civil rights. I think have obviously been discounted and discredited greatly, uh, by the
13:26current administration. I am optimistically nauseous, I would say is how I would describe my thoughts for
13:36how this will go. Um, I feel like we got burned the last election in 2020. So, um, you know,
13:44just a
13:44waiting game. Um, today I voted for Troy Jackson because I think it's just time for a change. Um,
13:50and I generally like what he's running on and, uh, what else? Uh, Hannah and Pendergree, same reason.
13:56Uh, voted for Troy Jackson. Um, pretty much believe that everything Trump doing is doing is wrong.
14:03And I wanted to vote to stop that. You know, I think, um, restoring some sense of democracy,
14:10I think restoring some sense of decency, and I think, uh, trying to make some positive changes for
14:15everyone in this country around health care, around cost of living, around just improving
14:20everyone's lives. Those are what I'm kind of really concerned with. Um, I think the Democrats are going
14:25to win. And, um, I voted straight Democrat
14:32because I don't like the way that the country's going
14:36going to win. Republic wise. Yeah. So, um, being able to, um, have my kids safe, my grandkids safe,
14:51and, um, not that I want open borders or anything bad to happen, but, um, I just want to make
15:00sure that
15:01they have money, you know, for fuel and food and things like that. Yeah.
15:09Well, I voted for Troy Jackson. I hope he does well. Um, you know, it sounds like it was a
15:15close
15:15race and all, all of the, uh, you know, all of the polls in pre, you know, pre-election analytics
15:24the past few years have been inaccurate, so I have no idea how he's going to do it. Seems like
15:27it's a
15:27close race and I certainly hope he wins. The key issues for me were, um, obviously I'd like, uh,
15:34to be, you know, immigration enforcement to be less, uh, violent and safer for, um, the community.
15:39I would like, you know, Donald Trump's, um, policies to be opposed. And, uh, I would like, um,
15:50you know, higher minimum wage, stronger labor protections, less wealth being funnel to the
15:56billionaires and more wealth funnel to the common people. And, uh, universal healthcare,
16:02obviously that's really important. That's it for me. US Senate, I voted for James Tallarico.
16:08Who is it? I honestly just voted for anyone Democrat. I was like, I was like, yeah,
16:13the Republicans, we've, we've kind of seen what they've done. And I was like, we need some change,
16:17something else, anything else. You know, uh, I, I hear all this conversation going around,
16:23but the only intimidation I felt is the other, my own side, the Democrats, uh,
16:30it's just a lot of foulness coming out of it. It's, I've never been picked on at a, uh, over
16:36my
16:37voting, um, until this, until my, my changes support. I've never had Republicans say, you're a fool.
16:45I've never had Republicans tell me, oh, you gotta do this. But I have most certainly had Democrats
16:51come at me very foul over hearing about my choice to support my country first.
16:57Yes, I'm hopeful that he will win because, uh, Ken Paxton has, he's, in my eyes, he's done too many
17:09things wrong. And, uh, that's, that's just the way I feel about it. Let somebody else give it a shot.
17:16I'm, I'm a conservative and I'm also a, uh, Christian. So I voted, uh, conservative only be
17:25because, uh, I know it's like picking which one is, is better, even though that, um,
17:36both of them got some things going on, right? But I voted because I don't believe in transgenders,
17:45you know, I don't, I don't believe that according to the word of God, that God made male and female.
