00:00Are PSG the best team of the 21st century? Back-to-back Champions Leagues playing stunning
00:05football and passing the eye test with flying colours has got the football world talking.
00:09Where do they rank in the annals of the best teams ever? Let's rank the top three since the
00:14turn of the millennium. Number three, Real Madrid 2014-2018. I know, a three-peat Champions League
00:20run, the most inevitable player in football history, a stellar midfield and world-class
00:25facilitators. Their honours put them higher, but watching this team just didn't quite
00:30ignite a fire in me. The outcome was mesmerising and historic, and being the third best team
00:34in the last 26 years is hardly an insult, but I understand others would have them higher.
00:38For me though, it wasn't quite as mesmerising as I am by number two, PSG 2024-2026. Just
00:46watch them. They are a joke. The fluidity, the movement, the style is something that football
00:51fans will remember forever. Yes, the context of Ligue 1 resting matters, meaning they have
00:56more to give on the biggest stage. Yes, they only just beat Arsenal in last year's Champions
01:00League final, but there are so many performances from this team where you think, wow. City this
01:05season, Bayern home and away last season, Inter in the final in 2025. It is a beautiful team
01:10to watch. That is, very importantly, way more than the sum of its parts. But number one is
01:16obviously Barcelona 2008-2011. The best team I have ever seen. The best player ever, the
01:21best midfield ever, the best manager ever, all in full flow. A joke, a once in an existence
01:27team. The greatest.
