00:00Lionel Messi has picked Max Daumann and one other Prem youngster as his stars for the future.
00:05The second name might surprise you.
00:07Every year, football's greatest player ever tips 10 young players to make it big in the future
00:11in a campaign called Backed by Messi with Adidas.
00:14Both selected are given Messi's signature boot to wear for the season
00:17and have the small pressure of being, well, backed by Messi.
00:20Recent inductees include Laminya Mal, Nico Paz and Rio N'Gamoa.
00:24Daumann's inclusion is not exactly a surprise.
00:26Messi is not the only person who backs the English wonderkid to make it big
00:29and you could be forgiven for seeing similarities between the two players
00:32but the Arsenal Academy graduate is not the only current Premier League youngster included on the list.
00:38The other joined this summer from MLS where he played against Messi
00:41and was called up to USMNT for the first time in the last international break.
00:45Who is he?
00:46Crystal Palace's Xavier Gozo.
00:48Gozo joined the Eagles from Real Salt Lake City in the summer for £10 million.
00:52A flying winger slash fullback, the 19-year-old was highly rated and sought after around Europe.
00:57Quick, tricky and a brilliant strike on him too
00:59Gozo has all the tools to explode given the right platform over the next few years.
01:04Of course, just because Messi, or realistically Messi's team,
01:07thinks you can succeed doesn't mean you will.
01:09But to be mentioned in the same breath as one of the best youngsters in the world is no mean
01:13feat.
01:14Do not sleep on Xavier Gozo.
01:16Gozo.
