On Christmas Eve 1945, a fire destroyed the Sodder family home in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Nine children were inside. Four escaped. Five were presumed dead, yet no confirmed remains were ever found.
The family reported a missing ladder, vehicles that wouldn’t start, and a phone line that appeared cut. The site was bulldozed within days. In 1967, mother Jennie Sodder received a mysterious photograph of a young man she believed was her son Louis.
