00:00Kevin Federline is facing a hefty credit card bill after his child support
00:04payments from Britney Spears came to an end. The former backup dancer is being
00:07sued over more than $117,000 in alleged debt owed to City National Bank.
00:14According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Federline, who is 48, owes the
00:18bank a total of at least $117,704 across a credit card, a personal line of
00:25credit, and an overdraft line. Interestingly, Federline signed the
00:29agreement with the bank in late November 2024, around the same time
00:33Spears' final child support payment reportedly hit his account. As
00:36previously reported, Federline initially received $40,000 a month in child
00:40support while raising the former couple's two sons, Sean Preston and
00:44Jaden James, in Hawaii. Those payments were later reduced to $20,000 a month
00:48after Sean Preston turned 18. It continued until Jaden graduated from
00:53high school. In his memoir, You Thought You Knew, Federline defended the
00:56expenses, claiming the money went towards security, and maintaining the
01:00standard of living his sons were accustomed to with their famous mom. He
01:04wrote that those costs easily ran well over $40,000 a month, adding that the
01:08money was gone almost as soon as it came in. Now, the bank is looking to
01:12collect. The lawsuit claims Federline had until August 2026 to pay off his
01:17credit card debt. His personal line of credit was due in June 2025, while his
01:22overdraft line was due even earlier, April of that year. On top of the
01:26outstanding balances, the bank is also seeking unpaid interest with rates
01:29reaching 20.5% on the credit card, 7.5% on the line of credit, and 18% on
01:35the
01:35overdraft line. Federline and Spears met in early 2004, got engaged that July, and
01:40married in California that September. Spears filed for divorce in November 2006,
01:45and their split was finalized the following year. KFED has since moved on with
01:49Victoria Prince, whom he married in 2013.
