I Survived 100 Days on a Deserted Island in Minecraft Hardcore

00:00This is a tiny little island surrounded by an endless ocean and all I have is a tree a small
00:06platform and a little friend for now. I'm going to be transforming this tiny little island into
00:12an immense island oasis and I have to do this all within 100 days of hardcore Minecraft. I'm not
00:20working with much here but I'm sure that's no problem let's go ahead and get to our tree. Day
00:24one and I didn't waste any time. I made my wooden pickaxe and then jumped right into the water to
00:29get all the stone I can get to make my stone tools. Wow I haven't made that edit in so
00:35long.
00:36Next major thing I need to do is make this tiny island bigger so I took the top layer of
00:40dirt and
00:40I decided to expand it. Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean it come back. It wasn't a whole lot but
00:46this will
00:47have to do for now. Don't worry I'm not just trying to keep you alive because you're my only real
00:50food
00:51source here but poop out an egg already please. Since we're so limited on dirt and we need to
00:56expand more there's actually the gravel method where you take gravel and then you combine it
01:00with dirt to make coarse dirt and when you do that you can then use a shovel and then create
01:05a dirt
01:06path block then break it and you now have a brand new dirt block. Look at that now we just
01:10doubled
01:11our dirt. I also forgot we have some goals for this video. Firstly I gotta build a house. I also
01:17need
01:17to get full netherite armor and of course we got to defeat the ender dragon as well as defeat the
01:24wither too. Most importantly we have to ride a happy ghast and lastly if it isn't obvious not to game
01:31over. You put it on egg. Give me that. Look at this little child you have right here. Oh I
01:37uh I just
01:38kind of popped the egg. Anyways we can pretty much repeat this process until I run out of gravel and
01:42it's just an infinite amount of dirt until then. And so I continued this method breaking the blocks
01:47and then continuing to expand. Of course I'm gonna have to constantly be getting gravel but luckily
01:52there's a bunch of it in this world. After all that I then turned the coarse dirt blocks back into
01:58dirt
01:59and did a real big push and expanded the island immensely.
02:09But now we have a lot bigger of a platform here. This is so much better. That took forever to
02:14grind
02:14out all that dirt but I'm tired of just not having any food and we got a whole ocean here
02:18so let's go
02:18ahead and kill some of this cod here. So after that fishing spree it's night time and I come to
02:26my
02:26island and there's a bunch of mobs coming after me and it got really overwhelming. Maybe that was a
02:31blessing in disguise because we did kill a lot of skeletons and we do have some bones now. So we
02:37can try out the bone meal and we can actually get some grass here and now we gotta destroy it
02:42so we
02:42can we can get some seeds. Make a hoe. Place all these seeds and it started to become night time.
02:47Now
02:47we got our charcoal. Then make our torches. We got 20 of them and let's just place them everywhere here
02:52and now might as well just chop down some trees here.
02:58Once I finished doing that I actually found a random chicken that just spawned in in the ocean.
03:02After wasting no time I did what I had to do. Love each other and make a baby. I'm gonna
03:09go now
03:09finally go mining for some iron because this is not not fun being terrified of everything without
03:13having any armor. And so I start digging down planning on just starting a strip mine to find
03:19some iron until whoa. Immediately I tried to find the safest way and to get down to this bigger cave.
03:27In doing so we had found our first diamonds and of course we came here for iron so iron's there
03:33too.
03:33I immediately got the iron and then got some more on the other side. Plopped down my furnace and started
03:37cooking the iron. First thing I did though however was to make a shield because that is too important.
03:43I eventually made my iron pickaxe but with the remaining iron I got I then made a chest plate too.
03:47I was ready to get the diamonds and then something caught my eye. Wait is that more diamonds right
03:52there? I see it. All right let's just get the ones right in front of us now. Give me those.

03:56like three diamonds. Give me that. Okay we gotta be careful here. Give me that. Oh no I thought
04:02there was gonna be one. There's two. More diamonds. I'm finding so many. I'm here for iron not diamonds but
04:08I'm not gonna complain. I'm progressing through the mines fighting for my dear life. Mining all the ores
04:13while also almost dying so I can cave myself. After I was all healed up I continued my mining until
04:21is that? Oh wow okay. Oh more diamonds. There's a lot of them too. Oh my gosh. Oh blocked it.

04:28goodness. I gotta sneakily get access to these chests in here though. They're only over there. Are you
04:34kidding me? Sharpness three. That's crazy. Golden apple. String. Give me that. Okay we got a name tag.
04:39We run starting now. Oh there's so many in front of me. Oh no I don't know where I came
04:46from. If I
04:46see that I think I know what I must do. Now we'll just and hope no skeleton sees us. I
04:51did not want
04:52to say that the mines are very long so I decided to head right back with the little iron that
04:55I got
04:56but it wasn't entirely useless. Oh we got a lot more bones so we can use bone meal. I need
05:00seeds. Oh and
05:01I also entrapped my chickens. How much string do we have? We have 15. I don't think that's enough to
05:06make us a bed. Wait. Yes it is. Oh and now we can finally sleep. Oh thank goodness. Progression is
05:12great. Now let's cook our iron. I will say that was a very successful trip as we got sharpness three
05:17book and 11 diamonds. Let's go ahead and make our full iron armor. There we go. Now we're looking a
05:23lot less pitiful I should say but that only leaves us with four and gets left total. I was in
05:29desperate
05:29need of food and so I thought we're around the ocean. I'm gonna make a fishing rod and let's just
05:34have
05:34a dedicated day of fishing. Cue the montage.
05:56We got a good bit of cod and some salmon too. What I'll do now though is make a smoker
06:01and put
06:02those in like that. We also got a lot more babies in here which is great. Oh we got a
06:06lot of eggs.
06:07Hold up. Let me get those. Ready? Come on. Let me see a baby. Let me see. Yes! I should
06:10say I fished
06:11up a power three bow and an op fishing rod that had mending so it will never break and I'm
06:17feeling a
06:17lot more confident now that I got full armor so I thought all right we're gonna need a lot better
06:22successful mining trip so we're going back in. I go back to the mine where I left to get more
06:26resources
06:27and of course I'm running for my dear life. While nearly dying I even found more diamonds but I had
06:31to
06:32make all the mobs go to a different area so I could swoop in there to get the diamonds. A
06:36lot of times I
06:36also had to just box myself in to kill all the mobs to get the diamonds though. I found the
06:40warden's
06:41mess and I wasn't too happy about that considering how annoying it is to go through it but I was
06:46finding
06:47diamonds everywhere. Sometimes though in areas that are a bit difficult to get. I mean just look at the
06:51amount I'm finding here. Of course I'm still getting beat up getting to these diamonds but it's worth it
06:56because at least I'm getting xp from the mobs. Obviously I couldn't forget to get more iron even though
07:01I couldn't stop getting diamonds. We got 15 diamonds so far. That means we can make a diamond pickaxe and
07:08we have our water bucket so let's place that down turn this lava into obsidian. Let's get this obsidian
07:12real quick. Okay that's 14. Get me out. I continued to mine and went through the scary area and then
07:18got
07:18you know spooked. Oh heck no. Oh heck no. Oh heck no. Oh heck no. Oh heck no. Luckily made
07:23it out of there
07:23while finding even more diamonds and even more. I also went kind of slime and got the slime balls. I'm
07:29exploring new areas getting stacked with diamonds. I was shocked. I'm zooming through everything until
07:34I'm finding more and more diamonds to get. I'm feeling very good with how this mining trip is
07:38going. However I ran out of food so I had to stop it from there. Yes we're back. It's night
07:44time. Get
07:44me to bed. Oh my gosh. Finally. How are y'all doing my chickens? Harvest our stuff. I must feed
07:50all of my
07:51chickens. Anyways that was a ridiculous mining strip. Holy 61 diamonds. We have already a stack of diamonds.
07:58Are you kidding me? This is so obsolete. We are so rich now. We went from nothing to something. Wow
08:03this is great. Now we can smell all of our iron. Now it's kind of awkward that we have all
08:07these
08:08diamonds and like no enchantment table. Uh there's no sugar cane anywhere. I don't know how to make
08:14paper yet. I didn't want to dwell on it too much so I decided you know what let's go ahead
08:19and do it
08:20again and expand the island even more. So I went down in the ocean got as much gravel as I
08:24could
08:25and once again continued the coarse dirt method. Look we're gonna do this a lot all right. I wasn't
08:30joking that I wanted a huge expansion. I got big plans for this build coming up and I need a
08:36lot more
08:36land for it. So I went ahead and just filled in this big old giant area filled with dirt and
08:42was very
08:43happy to have a lot more land to work with here. With the new land that I've just built I
08:46also wanted
08:47to get all the wood I had in the trees and then actually build a little section of the area
08:51and then
08:52just plant all of my saplings so I can have one big area just filled with trees. That way it's
08:57just not
08:57everywhere on my land. We are so far into this series that I haven't even really built anything
09:02yet. So you know what I'm gonna build my first thing. So with the cobble we just got we put
09:06it
09:06in the furnace. Now I've been fishing a lot and I figured you know what the very first build we
09:11do
09:11let's just make a fishing dock. We also got that really nice fishing rod so I feel like there's no
09:16better time to build something than a fishing dock right now. It's nothing too crazy. I just wanted to
09:21make something mainly out of wood. As annoying as it is to deal with all these drowns while I'm
09:25building I actually came across something pretty interesting because when I was building this
09:30someone decided to come by. Oh my gosh please wait a minute can you have it? Oh no I don't
09:39have an
09:39emerald. Baked potato and a fragment of spider eye wait oh I got a potato wait a minute okay we'll
09:44plant
09:45the potato and then we'll get our bone meal boom a little more time now we got nine bake it
09:51now bake
09:51bake bake bake bake bake there are four baked potatoes boom then we can get a single emerald
09:55use that emerald for the sugar cane boom oh yes oh my gosh I needed this this is perfect all

10:02let's go immediately plant this and bop you're useless to me now goodbye I'll be taking your
10:08llama's leather too. Back to the build I needed to get leaf blocks because I wanted to give this a
10:14more
10:14like lively look I wanted to add the leaves to the top so I added these fences so that way
10:19it gave
10:19it like a platform for it it would look a lot better once I add the leaves to the top
10:23like this
10:23and some little extra details I wanted to do is to add some leaves dropping from the top and then
10:28added lanterns to light it up a little bit and of course I want to add some other small details
10:32like
10:32adding the trap doors to the wood here it is though our fishing dock is done uh nothing too crazy
10:38it's
10:38pretty basic but I love how it turned out and we're gonna be working on something even bigger I've been
10:43surrounded by this ocean and yet I haven't really explored much of it so let's go explore this big
10:48old sea that we have and already right off the rip I see an abandoned portal and it's huge by
10:52the way
10:52now I didn't have much however I'm surrounded by a ton of shipwrecks I went out and just looted a
10:58ton
10:59of the ships a bunch of items I thought were really good and as well as getting a lot of
11:02paper and some
11:03books and I even found like a ton of golden apples at one of the abandoned portals I ran into
11:08but finding
11:08all this paper is gonna help us be able to make our enchantment room so I decided to head back
11:13and go
11:13ahead and make our enchantment table I don't really care that we don't have any bookshelves but you
11:17know what I'm just gonna get protection on all of my diamond armor and then we'll also enchant my
11:22pickaxe and why not I just went ahead and just made full diamond tools and then I enchanted those
11:27and got efficiency on all of them as well as sharpness then I went back to continue the shipwreck
11:32hunt found a bunch of paper and some books but when I got back oh no way yes finally oh
11:41and there's two
11:42and a sheep this is perfect wait hold on gotta make another one it's gonna be more spacious since
11:46cows are bigger okay moomoo let's get over here come here mother moomoo there we go and then I guess
11:50the sheep can you know chill in its own area right here hey there and now moomoo's make another small
11:55moomoo and they may and make a tiny one what and then a random chicken just decides to spawn right

12:01okay I'm ready for a major expansion however it's gonna require the most amount of dirt I'll ever need
12:08just to do the montage already
12:45I think I broke approximately like 20 shovels in the process of getting all this dirt and it's been
12:51like what like seven Minecraft days so firstly I want to extend the island a little bit more to
12:56the side and then add a big old mountain at the top and then we'll add a little bit more
13:00volume on
13:01the other side as well but not as tall as the mountain because then we're gonna put our house
13:05right here also I want to add we found another trader he gave me a mangrove log so I mean
13:10that's
13:11cool for something and we also have a significantly more amount of sugar cane let's get started on the
13:16expansion here I plan to make this a lot bigger but not too big we'll just make the outline of
13:22this
13:22right here and there we go I think that's a good outline for the extension so now let's just go
13:26and
13:26fill in everything so now that it's all filled in instead of actually just making all one big
13:48terrain I'm just gonna outline the mountain with this and then just leave the whole inside hollow I'm just
13:54got to pretty much guesstimate just how like a mountain would be and so we'll just go ahead
13:57and add the other layer now something like this should do all right so far we're getting somewhere
14:10this is kind of what I want actually you know what I'm gonna get rid of all these trees because
14:18the cheese right here we're gonna be in the way when we update the floorboard here I'm also gonna get
14:21a good bit of cobble here because while we're terraforming this area we're gonna need a lot of
14:25stone and we'll put it in the furnace okay let's get back to this now and let's just go all
14:30around
14:31now there we go we went all the way around and now just to extend this whole top layer as
14:35well
14:35oh gosh this this is gonna require so much dirt

15:18Oh my gosh, we have our mountain here.
15:21Uh, i'm waiting for pretty much most of the grass to fill in all this dirt
15:25but I actually plan on on this little mini mountain right here on top of this mountain to build our
15:30Enchantment room inside of this and i'm gonna make some like tropical trees pop out. It's gonna be awesome
15:35We're not actually done yet because like I said, we had to get the stone
15:38Also, and this is what the inside looks like. It's cool
15:42But we're definitely not gonna be living here very long. Let's go ahead and grab our stone real quick
15:46What we're essentially gonna do is just fill in some areas with stone. We'll just do this all around the
15:51mountain
15:52So we'll probably just get this whole half right here all stone
15:55We shall continue this process until I get it to how I like it and while i'm doing this i'm
16:01hopefully gonna have a whole plot of grass
16:03Okay, this is getting exactly what I wanted
16:05Obviously the goal is to try to make this as a naturally generated mountain as possible
16:10And I think this is doing just that right now and we'll add some stone on this side as well
16:15Okay, that should be it. This looks a lot better and I even got this big old chunk of space
16:21right here to where we're gonna build our house
16:22Which I should go and get the supplies for our house because I think i'm ready to build it
16:26We just got all this wood. I think that's good at everything for now
16:29We have to close this hole. But before I do that, let's feed the moomoos now to plug up

16:35I'm gonna go ahead and make the outline for it with some dirt and then fill in all the other
16:40details whenever I get the right shape

16:53some fences as pillars

17:56we can add slabs to the top

18:11Then we'll add trap doors at the bottom like this add this little design

18:27And now I want to plant these seeds on the side and on the other side and we got all

19:31Because like I said, I wanted the place to be open where I can just walk in through anywhere
19:35And just like that we essentially have the house done other than the interior
19:39But this is what we got but we finally have a home
19:42Well, sort of
19:43You just gotta fix the interior here
19:45So first things first we need to bring our chest in here. So watch this transition ready and

19:50I I hope that transition worked out better than I thought but I got all my chest here now and
19:54this side
19:55I'm probably just gonna have all my food right here and i'm gonna put all of the
19:59Smokers right here and i'll probably just have like a blast furnace in the middle here and plop a crafting
20:03table like that
20:04It's starting to become a lot more homey in here
20:06I know it's a bit unique kind of having like this really open house like this
20:09Otherwise, I would add glass but like I said, we're just so limited on the sand that we get on
20:14this world
20:14I mean right here is about the only amount of sand I have that's generated in this world
20:19And I actually have plans for it and i'm gonna need every bit as much as I can get with
20:23all that happening
20:24You know, I think it's time for a big event and i'm ready to go to the nether
20:28We have our 10 obsidian and this isn't gonna be the official portal
20:32But this is just kind of a temporary one that we're gonna build right now
20:34Because what I really want to do is actually build up our enchantment room and for some parts of the
20:38build
20:39I need to get some soul sand. So let's go ahead and go into the nether
20:43These have a good spawn
20:46Okay, this is I think this is awful actually at least we got some convenient glowstone right here

20:55I decided just to get some wood and then continue on my search to find a soul sand biome

23:59After a noble sacrifice for my cows
24:01I then was able to make
24:03Eight bookshelves
24:04Which is not enough
24:05And so I need to go ahead
24:06And repopulate my cows
24:08So I can get more leather
24:09While I wait for that
24:10I have some chores to do
24:11So I decided to plant some saplings
24:13And then I also planted some mangrove seeds
24:15Because we're gonna need
24:17All the wood that we can get
24:18From the mangroves
24:19For this enchantment table build
24:20Luckily with the bone blocks
24:22I was able to get a ton of bone mill
24:23So I bone milled all of them
24:25And proceeded to chop down
24:26All the wood in these trees
24:28Which by the way
24:29Mangrove trees are so annoying
24:31To get all the wood from
24:33I mean it's just at random spots
24:35And if I don't get any of the wood
24:36It'll just randomly leave the leaves there
24:39For whenever I manage to find
24:40That last piece of wood
24:41I continued to breed my cows
24:43And finished off the day
24:44Alright other than having
24:45All the bookshelves ready
24:46I think we have everything
24:47We can get started on
24:48To working on this enchantment room
24:50But like I said

46:26So the annoying part is making a platform for all this sand to stick and not just fall
46:31straight down to the sea floor.
46:33Because I'm just going to want to put sand right here.
46:35It's just going to, you know, yeah.
46:37So we're essentially going to have to make like an underfloor to all of this.
46:40This is way too awful, but it's worth it.
46:42It's going to make this super sick.
46:52So now I want to make some fake palm trees using the mangrove wood.
46:55So I got to plant a lot more of these plants.
46:57And I'll pretty much just plop them down sporadically here.
46:59I'm actually wanting to use oak leaves for them.
47:02So I'm going to also plant some oak saplings up top of here.
