00:06And I'm hair and makeup artist Bethany Brill.
00:08And today we're going to be showing you how to do a really cool hidden braid.
00:12We're going to start with a deep side part.
00:14You can just use your fingers for this because we want it to look really soft and natural.
00:20Then we're going to take a little bit of mousse.
00:25This is going to be used to define this part a little bit
00:29and just to add some grip to the hair so that we can braid it easily.
00:38We're going to use the blow dryer to direct the hair to the opposite side with the part
00:43and work the mousse into the hair.
00:51So now we're going to start with a loose French braid around the crown of the head.
00:57Take a fairly large section of hair, split it into three parts, and do one round of braiding.
01:08Take large chunks of hair and incorporate them into the braid as though you're French braiding.
01:15Just keep everything very loose.
01:19Don't worry about leaving pieces out.
01:22This is what gives it the romantic look.
01:26As you get around the temple of your face,
01:29you're going to bring the braid closer to the front of your face.
01:33Once you get around the ear, stop gathering other hair and just braid.
01:44And finish with an elastic.
01:48Next, open the leftover hair.
01:52Lift the braid and lightly tease the loose hair.
01:55This adds a little weight to the style and can create a base if you want to further style into
02:02a messy bun.
02:04We love it just loose and soft.
02:07The final step is to use our fingers to just loosen and tousle the braid.
02:14Make sure it's incorporated into the hair.
