00:04You were almost unrecognizable in this movie. What was the transformation like every day and like hair and makeup and
00:10all of that getting ready?
00:12Yeah, so I put on about 15 pounds before we started the movie. So that allowed me to not feel
00:17comfortable in my own body.
00:19Yeah. Cut off all my hair and every day we would put on these tattoos and piercings and I actually
00:27tried to not wash my neck so that the tattoo would stay on because it took a while to get
00:32on but it kind of just added to my uncomfortable feeling and being dirty because when you're homeless, you know,
00:38it's not really anywhere to go.
00:40Yeah. So I think just as soon as I got on all my hair and makeup and made myself as
00:46ugly as possible, just looking in the mirror.
00:48Yeah. It really set the tone. Yeah. Did you find yourself in a different, completely different mindset throughout the whole
00:53filming? Like did you?
00:55Yeah, I mean, it's so hard because I think back and I remember when I was filming it after we
01:02would do a really tough scene, I would get giddy because it was exciting that we accomplished it.
01:08And I felt like I was myself for the most part, but I don't think that I was because as
01:15soon as we were done, I had a hard time finding Vanessa again.
01:20I was really stuck in my character and according to Ron, he never met Vanessa. He only knew Apple. So,
01:26yeah, it's interesting looking back.
01:29Yeah, I mean, that's definitely a good sign.
01:31Yeah, it's a great sign.
01:32Yeah. Well, I wanted to ask you too about your Golden Globes dress and completely opposite. It was banging.
01:36I wanted to ask you how you chose it and like what did it take to keep that all in
01:40place?
01:42Um, I don't know. I think Golden Globes, it's just fun to really get dressed up. I love beaded dresses
01:48and low cut plunging dresses. They're amazing.
01:52So, um, just a handful of top stick and, and yeah, it was heavy though.
01:59Yeah. And it fell apart towards the end of the night. There were just beads hanging everywhere. I was a
02:03complete mess.
02:04That'll happen. Um, you just turned the big two five. Yeah.
02:07What do you have like as kind of your goals for the second half of your twenties?
02:11Ooh, um, I don't know. I'm, I'm, I'm, I feel like I, I've just started to get good at writing
02:18out goals.
02:19Yeah. And so I definitely did a couple for this year. Um, but looking ahead for a whole another 25
02:25years is, that's, that's a lot.
02:27Yeah. It's daunting. Well, they say that the second half of your twenties is the best time.
02:32Okay. So.
02:33Well, that's good. Yeah.
02:34I'm excited. I'm liking it so far.
02:35Well, that's good. Yeah.
02:36Um, I also wanted to ask you one last thing. Um, with the Oscars coming up now and the nominations
02:40this week, what are your thoughts on the campaign to get Franco an Oscar for Spring Breakers?
02:46I love it. I think he's really incredible. We'll see. We'll see what the people think.
02:50Would you be for it?
02:52Yeah, totally. I mean, I think that he was really incredible. He completely transformed himself. It's an amazing performance. Um,
02:59and one that I got to be a part of. So of course I'd root for him.
