00:13looks around the fall lace trend. So I picked this outfit for a nice daytime outing. I
00:30chose a slightly more high-waisted skirt because my top is cropped, and so it creates a nice
00:36proportion because you still get to see a tiny bit of skin, but not too much. So this
00:51is my rock concert look. I fell in love with this skirt when I first saw it because I think
00:55the black lace makes it more edgy. Also, it has these amazing double straps here at the
00:59waist, which give it a nice, punky finish. I decided to pair it with a really simple top
01:04just because the skirt has a lot going on. And these chunky ankle boots really give this
01:09out with a nice finish.
01:22So this is my work-appropriate look. While a blouse on a pencil skirt might seem like a standard
01:27for any office environment, this one takes that to the next level because the lace overlay
01:32on the pencil skirt is interesting and unexpected. Plus, it's color-blocked, which I think goes
01:37perfectly with these really funky and graphic shoes.
