00:02I don't exactly know what you can do with this, but I mean, if you're going to a kinky S
00:06&M renaissance festival,
00:08got your look right here.
00:15Hi, I'm Connie, the global editor of Refinery29, and welcome to ConnieCamp.
00:19If you're anything like me, you're probably completely sick of the holiday season by now,
00:23so I have four easy style tips so your look doesn't look as tired as you might feel.
00:27Let's get started.
00:28The first thing utilizes these miscellaneous gift bows that you have lying around.
00:34You probably have a thousand of these and don't know what to do.
00:36What you can do with them is put them on a pair of shoes.
00:41It's a little bit hokey, I know, but I think they look really, really awesome.
00:45So you want to snip off the edges of them, unpeel, and stick.
00:52The trick I've learned is to take these super cute, tiny little bobby pins and then clip them onto the
01:00shoe, one on each side.
01:02Look at how cute they are.
01:05Now, don't try wearing these outside of the holiday season because you're going to look kind of silly.
01:09The second DIY is really, really, really, really easy.
01:12It involves cutting a single piece of ribbon.
01:15So this look looks best.
01:17It went under a button-up shirt like this one.
01:20Here's a length of holiday ribbon.
01:24Cut this much.
01:26Two arms span.
01:27Now, put on the shirt.
01:30So once you have your shirt on, it's time to put on the ribbon.
01:34And ta-da!
01:35This is the look.
01:36So for the third DIY, this one is to liven up a really, really simple dress.
01:41You may have worn it to your office party.
01:43You may have worn it to a family event.
01:44But if you want to make it look a little bit more exciting, this is the DIY for you.
01:48So in this instance, I'm talking about this sweater dress.
01:53It's very, very classic.
01:54A great piece to have in your closet except, you know, if you're going to wear it out to a
01:57party,
01:58it needs something a little bit extra special.
01:59So to offer that extra special quality, we are going to cut up a simple white shirt.
02:06And we are going to make what's known as a dickie.
02:09For anyone that was born after 1950, you are probably unfamiliar with the term dickie.
02:14It's basically a collar that you can wear under things that won't add bulk since it's not a real shirt.
02:20So to do this, we're just going to cut out the collar and the chest and back area.
02:25Keep cutting.
02:26I'm going to leave two buttons on this guy.
02:28If your lines are jagged, again, it doesn't matter.
02:32You're going to be wearing this under something.
02:33So there you have it.
02:35A dickie.
02:39And the last one is probably the simplest one.
02:42It utilizes two pieces you probably haven't worn in ages.
02:46A very, very bodycon mini dress.
02:51I used to wear this when I was in college.
02:53And then a really, really short skirt.
02:58I also don't really wear this anymore because it is really, really short.
03:02But together, they're going to be magical.
03:06Watch.
03:11And there you have it.
03:12Four simple things you can do to add some game into your style.
03:16So after the first though, you're on your own again.
03:18Bye.
03:19Bye.
03:21Bye.
