What — you didn't think that once we got our hands on British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, we were going to let her get away with just one video? And, there was definitely no way we were going to spend an afternoon with her and not have her teach us her patented "feline flick," the one made iconic by a certain Ms. Kate Moss.

00:11Hi, my name is Charlotte Tilbury and I'm here to show you how to get the perfect smokey eye.
00:15People always think when they're doing a smokey eye that it has to be in black or greys, so I'm
00:19going to show you how to get it in a really beautiful chocolate browns and copper color
00:23tones. They will sort of lift the eye color and make it look like it's got a little bit of
00:27a
00:27sparkle inside it. It's super important when ever starting any eye makeup that you curl
00:33your eyelashes because they act like an instant sort of push up bra. I'm going to start by
00:38using a black eyeliner and I'm going to give a kind of feline shape. I'm going to start
00:44with the inner corner and I'm going to draw upwards and nestle it right into the lash line. So
00:51dragging it down and then along the lash line. So to get the perfect feline flick, draw a dot
00:57at the outer edge where you want the feline flick to finish and then join up the dot in
01:04a slanted fashion. I'm now going to line the eyes, the inside of the waterline, with a chocolate
01:11brown pencil. Using my eye blending brush with this beautiful kind of goldy peachy nude shade
01:19and I'm going to use that all over the eye to just prime the eye. So I'm taking my eye
01:23blending brush
01:24again and I'm dipping it into this really beautiful chocolate copper shade. And I'm using that backwards
01:29and forwards across the eyelid and then in circular motions up to the socket line. When you're doing
01:35a smoky eye you don't want any harsh lines. All about blend, blend, blend. And then I'm going to take
01:41one of my eye smudger brushes and dipping it again into the same chocolate copper shade. I'm going to go
01:46along the lash line so I'm just nestling right in there. Just by going backwards and forwards underneath
01:52the eyes it will kind of create that smoky effect. And now I'm going to dip my smudger brush into
01:58a dark
01:59chocolate shade. And I'm going to use this dark chocolate shade along the lash line to add a little
02:04bit more depth to the smokiness. And in the same dark chocolate shade I'm going to use underneath the
02:12eyes, all the way along underneath the eyes, on top of the coppery brown shade. Finally, I'm going to
02:18use mascara really up and out on the outer corners. It will give you a little bit more drama and
02:25enhance
02:25that feel and flick look. So whenever I'm doing a very bold eye or a strong statement lip I always
02:31make sure that the skin looks very kind of youthful and dewy and luminous. And when you're doing a very
02:36strong eye you want to make sure that you end with a really beautiful nude lip.
