00:04Hi guys, I'm Chloe at Refinery29 and today we'll be making mini inspiration boards inspired by
00:10Pinterest. We love pinning here at R29 and this is a great alternative to kind of the clunky cork
00:16board that you have around your house. So let's get started. What you'll need are some wooden
00:20boards, glitter, magnets, a paintbrush, adhesive strips for the wall, scissors, magazines, and magnetic
00:31primer paint. For your first step, go ahead and take your paintbrush and I'm going to do a first
00:36coat onto the boards and you'll want to make sure when you're at the hardware store that you have
00:40them shake it for you because it does take a long time to stir. I also put down a paper
00:45bag for a
00:46surface because it does get very messy. And it doesn't take that long to dry, maybe about 20
00:52minutes and then you can put the next coat on. I did about seven coats, which sounds like a lot,
00:57but it just depends how strong you want the magnets to stick to it and what you're putting on the
01:02boards. And we're just doing magazine tear sheets today, so it doesn't need to be too strong. For
01:08your next step, you'll want to set these aside and let them dry and now we're going to work on
01:11our
01:11magnets. So I'm just using this roll of magnets I got at Michael's and I'm going to go ahead and
01:16take my scissors and just clip little squares off. So once I have those, I'm going to take my
01:23glitter, pull a little bit out, go ahead and take the adhesive off the back and just drop the magnet
01:29into the glitter and swish it around and then knock any excess glitter off. And we're going to do a
01:36bunch of different colors today. You can make your boards whatever theme you want. So now our pinboards
01:41are dry and I have three here and I went ahead and painted the backs as well just so it's
01:46nice and
01:47clean. And now we're just going to cut out our inspiration. So I have a couple magazines here and
01:52we're going to do a floral board which is really big for spring right now. Now that we've cut out
01:58all
01:58our inspiration, I'm going to go ahead and put the adhesive sticks on the back and they're velcro, which is
02:03great so you can move them around your apartment or your office. So now I'm going to go ahead and
02:07start
02:07putting the inspiration on. So that's it. Now you have super affordable and easy pinboards that you
02:16can hang in your office or your home.
