00:06Hi everyone, it's Taylor from Refinery29. Today I'm going to show you how to create a chiseled
00:10cheek using bronzer and blush. We're going to start with a basic all-over bronzer look,
00:14and then I'm going to show you how to create a more defined cheekbone using a matte bronzer.
00:19Today I'm going to be using the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in number three. I'm going to be
00:23applying it with the Hourglass number one powder brush. I'll then be applying the Becca Mineral
00:28blush in Flower Child to the apple of my cheeks using the Mali blush brush. Using the powder brush,
00:34I'm going to apply the Guerlain bronzer to the high planes of the face. Using small circular motions,
00:39I'm going to blend in a c-shape around the eye, starting on the cheekbone first. You want to make
00:44sure that you blend the bronzer into your hairline as well. Next we're going to apply it along the
00:49jawline and down the bridge of the nose, blending into the cheeks. Don't forget to blend into your
00:54neck as well. Now using the Becca blush, I'm going to apply the color to the apples of the cheek,
01:00blending out into the hairline. I like to take the powder brush and re-blend everything together
01:04for a seamless finish. And there you go. Now I'm going to teach you how to create a more chiseled
01:11cheek using a matte bronzer and a heavier pigmented blush. But first things first, many companies
01:16include brushes in their blushes and bronzers. Throw it away. These brushes are only going to leave you
01:21looking like you have an 80s stripe on your face. You're going to want to use a fluffier, denser brush
01:26to get a more blended, natural look. To create a more defined sculpt, you're going to want to use
01:31a brighter pigmented blush. Today I'll be using the Lorac blush in Desire, but you can also use the
01:36NARS blush in Taos, another of my favorites. I'll be applying this blush with the Mali blush brush.
01:43To build color, I'll be applying the Hourglass Superficial Bronzer in Mirage with the Hourglass
01:48Number 7 Finish Brush. Then we're going to highlight the cheekbone with the Stila Kitten
01:53Shimmer Powder. I'm going to apply that with my fingers. To create this look, suck your cheeks
01:58in and apply the matte bronzer with the finish brush into the hollows of your cheeks, just
02:02under your cheekbones. Make sure to blend it into your existing bronzer. Using the blush brush,
02:09apply Desire blush to the apples of your cheek, blending into your bronzer. I like to take the brush
02:15again and blend all the colors into each other. Now using your finger, pick up the Kitten Shimmer
02:23Powder and apply to the high planes of the cheek, just under your eye. So that's it. Add these steps
02:32to your everyday beauty routine to create a simple, sexy, chiseled cheek.
