Chloë Moretz & Jamie Blackley Dish At Our If I Stay Screening!

Refinery29

Sometimes, our jobs feel kinda fancy. We get to dress up and talk to people who get dressed up all the time. (Editor's note: On this particularly snoozy Friday, we are favoring jeans and shower shoes.) But, for us, the novelty of bright and shining lights still hasn't worn off. That was definitely the case at this week's If I Stay screening at NYC's Landmark Sunshine Cinema, which we were psyched to host alongside Warner Bros. Not only was best-selling author Gayle Forman there, but we also got to speak to stars of the film Chloë Grace Moretz and Jamie Blackley. And, of course, all the screaming fans who lined up hours before the movie even started. Watch our exclusive video and then become one of those screaming fans. We won't tell.

00:11Hi, I'm Andy George-Greenberg, senior style editor of Refinery29. I'm here outside of our

00:15exclusive screening of If I Stay. We're about to go talk to the stars, see the movie, see you after

00:19the show. That is If I Stay. Who is it? Jamie Blackley is right there. He's kind of like the

00:29style of the movie. Hey, Jamie. Up top, up top, up top. We're going low. All I want is for

00:37my book to get signed by the authors and actors. I'm going to try to do that for you.

00:43What's the last thought that goes through your head right before the director yells action?

00:47A good magician never reveals their tricks. I don't know, you know, I just try and process

00:51my beats, process my emotions, process what Mia's going through in that moment and try

00:54and understand and comprehend everything that's around her. And I was talking to a super fan

00:57outside and I took her book to get you to sign it if you don't mind. On the text page.

01:02Awesome. What's the hardest part about doing an American accent? I don't know, there's

01:05a few words, like squirrel. Squirrel? Squirrel. Two syllables. Squirrel. If you were in a deep

01:12slumber, what would wake you up? What smell or sound? Like a chicken tikka masala. Really?

01:17Yeah, like the smell of that. That's all it takes.

01:19That's all it takes.

01:25Has anybody seen Kiana? Are you serious? My day was worthwhile.

01:35Kiana got her book signed. So you guys should all become friends. You're going to be crying

01:39next to each other in a couple minutes and I just don't want that to be awkward. Look each other

01:42in the

01:42eyes. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's alright. Hi everyone. I'm Annie from Refinery29.

01:49Thank you so much for coming here today. We're also super lucky to have Gail Foreman. She

01:54obviously wrote If I Stay. We also have Chloe Grace Moretz and Jamie Blackley who plays Adam.
