The white silk shirt is one of those things that can strike fear into the hearts of even the tidiest of people. Because, even if you avoid drinking coffee and switch your merlot out for chardonnay, there will be that person at the next barstool who‘s using her glass as a conductor‘s baton. Soon enough, a white shirt becomes a slightly beige shirt speckled with a condiment drawer‘s worth of splotches.

00:00In theory, a white silk shirt should be in every woman's closet.
00:03In practice, finding one that fits is hard enough, but it's also a magnet for stains.
00:07It's never white for very long.
00:09I think I found the perfect white silk shirt that's important for many reasons.
00:13The most important one being this.
00:16Like new.
00:19There's a Kickstarter right now by a brand called Elizabeth and Clark, and they make
00:21a wide variety of shirts that are really affordable.
00:24The thing they all have in common is that they're made with this unstainable technology,
00:28and it uses nanotechnology to affix these tiny fibers onto cottons and silks.
00:32Basically, what it means is it repels all water in oil-based liquids.
00:36So that's your coffee, that's your wine, mustard, soy sauce, whatever you can imagine that you
00:41usually would be terrified to eat around a white silk shirt, you can eat them and drink them.
00:45It's awesome to test it out.
00:48We are going to throw stuff at me, so.
00:53So when stuff like this happens, all you gotta do is rinse it off with water.
00:56Don't pat it in, because then it might actually set into the fibers.
01:02I'm ready.
01:05I'm so sorry, Connie.
01:09So the mustard doesn't seem to be coming out, so I'm going to try to get it out with this.
01:15I don't know if this is going to work.
01:25Okay, well, I made this.
01:27So, while some of the mustard has not come out, a lot of it has.
01:31And I'm confident I can get it out if I just machine wash it.
01:34Do not dry clean these things.
01:36The technology breaks down under dry cleaning.
01:38And for your regular day-to-day life when people aren't spraying you with an entire thing of mustard,
01:42you should be fine.
01:44So support the Kickstarter if this is something you're into.
01:4640 bucks for this shirt.
01:48And I need to go shower.
