episode guide for The Peasant Groom is the Abyss, first ten, and the structure is unusually patient.
Three humiliations land before he says a single sentence in his own defence. One about his clothes, one about the ring, one about his name.
Then episodes four through seven are the court — Elowen watching, the ring warming, other people doing the talking.
Episodes eight to ten are where he starts answering. Never loudly, and never all at once.
Ten episodes on, you know exactly what he can do, and not one character has said it out loud.
✨ What worked for me:
- No flashback to the Abyss. The battle is a sentence, not a scene.
- The first two episodes never leave the hall.
✨ Bottom line: the first ten spend their time establishing how much he refuses to explain.
