00:04Marsala is just a fancy name for maroon or oxblood, but no matter what you call it, the
00:09color is definitely back in a big way for fall. I'm going to show you three ways to
00:13work it into your wardrobe. And on this very special edition of Trend Takeout, I'm going
00:17to show you three beauty looks you can try to amp up that look. This first outfit plays
00:25up the collegiate vibe of maroon and it's a really easy way to work it into an
00:29outfit, but make it even more unexpected by playing with the lengths of your
00:33layers. I finished off this look by going for a bold maroon lip, which makes the
00:38outfit even more sophisticated.
00:44For the second look, I'm going to make the formal feel a little bit more fun.
00:50Maroon can sometimes feel a little bit stuffy because we see it a lot in lace
00:54and in bridesmaids dresses, but you can get more mileage out of your formal wear
00:58by layering a turtleneck underneath and pairing with a chunky booty. Funk up your
01:02beauty look by pairing purple and marsala colored shadow over a thick black liner
01:07and doing something fun with your hair, like a little braid.
01:17For the last outfit, I'm going to go for a creative suiting look.
01:24For the last look, I played with different shades in the same color family for an evening
01:29color block look. Lavender pastel goes especially well with a deep marsala hue. For your beauty
01:34look, go for an intense smudged smoky eye using silvers and purples that'll add to that
01:38sultry feeling with the marsala hue. If you're really daring, you can even try a colored contact
01:43lens.
01:52Now you have three beauty looks and three outfits so you can work marsala into your wardrobe this
01:56fall. Marsalong.
