00:08be worn so many different ways, but today we're going to look at just three.
00:21This particular piece is Tonya Taylor and it was a bit of an investment, but it's so beautiful,
00:26so we're going to see how to make it worth the splurge. So, a pretty skirt calls for a pretty
00:30top. We have a few. I'm going to try it with this corset top and see what kind of silhouette
00:35it makes.
00:40This first look is fairly fancy and it's the kind of thing that I would normally wear a crop top
00:44with,
00:44but instead I went for this vintage corset top because it has a great peplum shape,
00:49which adds a new silhouette to the entire outfit. So I've been meaning to layer a skirt over top of
00:55something. To be safe, I'm going to go with something in the same color as the skirt,
00:59this black maxi dress, and just to create a full look, I'm going to put a blazer over top.
01:08I think this is an unexpected way to make use of a statement skirt and actually the dress
01:13underneath makes the entire outfit a bit more comfortable. I'd wear this from 9 to 5 at work
01:17and then out after for drinks or a special occasion. So a statement skirt can obviously be worn pretty
01:23formally, which we have in the past two looks. I think this time we're going to get super,
01:27super comfortable. Pair it with sneakers and something a little bit more every day,
01:32like this band tee.
01:37So obviously this is the most casual outfit of the three. The white sneakers keep it fresh
01:42and the band tee makes it super appropriate for summer. This is something I'd wear on a Saturday
01:46morning if I'm not quite sure where the day or night will take me.
01:51Statement skirts don't have to be worn formally. They're super versatile. They can be worn any day
01:55of the week. See you next time.
