00:00Dating's really bad. It makes us really sad. Our love life is dead. Try some plants instead.
00:12Hey guys, I'm Gabbie Hanna and all my plants are dead, but luckily I have some friends to help me
00:18weed through adulting because it is very hard.
00:21I am with Serena Kerrigan, the queen of confidence, and today we're going to be talking about dating.
00:27IRL. There are red flags, there are deal breakers, and you know, sometimes it's just a little bit annoying, but
00:31is it something that should make you go, hey, that's annoying, chill, or is it something that makes you go,
00:35hey, get out of my life? So let's play a little game.
00:37This will be very interesting. Wait, red flag is less serious, right? Because these both sound serious.
00:41A deal breaker means like, absolutely not. Okay.
00:44They are still good friends with their ex.
00:50They're friends with their ex?
00:55Yeah. Red flag.
00:57Not a deal breaker. There's a situation. Depends on how much you're chilling with this ex. Like, they need to
01:01be emotionally removed from this ex, right?
01:04Yeah, but can you really be emotionally removed from an ex? I personally can't, because if I love somebody, I
01:09love them forever.
01:10For me, every ex I've had, we were blocked on every form of social media.
01:14I feel like that's the way to do it. People that are friends with their exes, like, how?
01:18They want to split every meal 50-50. Every meal.
01:24Here's the thing. Here's the thing.
01:28Every meal!
01:30Boys never offer to pay for me, and I don't know if it's because they know I'm doing my own
01:33thing, and I can afford to pay for myself, but it pisses me off.
01:37Because at the end of the day, you don't buy a girl dinner because she's hungry and can't afford to
01:42eat.
01:42You buy a girl dinner because it's courting and dating, and at least offer, like most guys, because I always
01:47offer my card.
01:48Like, I like to offer.
01:49Do you do the offer where you offer, but you're, like, doing it so slowly?
01:51No, I, like, fully offer. I'm like, I put my card down, and then...
01:54I just kind of rustle through my purse. I'm like, wait, uh...
01:57Yeah, they know you're doing that.
01:59Okay. They do?
02:00Girl, I'm a good actress.
02:01They know.
02:02Like, this is my purse. I'm just like, I left it at home.
02:05They know what you're doing.
02:06I just want you to know that they do know what you're doing.
02:08Fine, I gotta work on my tactics.
02:10They reschedule the second date more than twice.
02:13Deal breaker.
02:14Really?
02:15Yeah, if you cancel on me once, fine. If you cancel on me twice, maybe another time. It's just too
02:23many times, and you're not prioritizing me, and it also shows that you're not that interested from the start.
02:28If someone likes you, you will know.
02:31If they're not really into you, you will be confused. Sayonara.
02:36They don't know how to keep a plant alive.
02:39Oh, neither, because neither can I.
02:42Deal breaker. If you can't keep a ficus alive, what are we even doing here?
02:46Oh my goodness.
02:48They speak badly about their ex.
02:51Well, we would just both be honest.
02:55I mean, listen, sometimes people wrong us, and things don't work out.
02:59Yeah.
03:00I was dumped at a wedding, so...
03:02That was sick.
03:04Yeah.
03:04Yeah, and I'm talking about it right now.
03:06Can you remind me?
03:06No, I think it's kind of a red flag depending on how they talk, but like this horrible boyfriend who
03:11I keep talking about, he had nothing but praises to sing out about his ex.
03:14He wouldn't say a bad word about his ex at all.
03:17They can't stop talking really well about their ex.
03:19It's like, oh, so like everybody leaves you.
03:22They ghost you and then come back.
03:29Yeah.
03:30I could not feel stronger about this because that is emotional abuse and manipulation.
03:38And it signs of a very toxic relationship.
03:41So cut that off immediately.
03:44So what would you say is your biggest deal breaker?
03:48Not letting me speak.
03:50Yeah.
03:51That's a gross one.
03:51I need the podium, okay?
03:53Yeah.
03:53I think mine would probably be not making time.
03:58If somebody's always busy, because there's something different between a guy who will hang out with you in his spare
04:03time and a guy who will make spare time to hang out with you.
04:06Yep.
04:06Another big red flag slash deal breaker if they can't break it out is like the way they eat their
04:11utensils.
04:13Like they have to like...
04:14That's your deal breaker?
04:16Oh man, it's huge.
04:17I can't stand it.
04:18It's a huge pet peeve.
04:18What do you mean?
04:19It's how you eat.
04:19It's how you present yourself.
04:20This is very interesting to me.
04:22And like, you get to eat correctly.
04:24We learned a lot today about red flags and deal breakers.
04:27So let's talk about a few tips that you can do when you're dating IRL.
04:30Know your limits.
04:31Know exactly what you need.
04:32And if somebody is way too far gone, let it go.
04:36Let it go.
04:36So don't look for red flags, but be aware.
04:39And when you see that red flag flapping in the wind, keep it in the back of your mind.
04:44Or write it in the notes section of your phone like I do.
04:50Dating's really bad.
04:51It makes us really sad.
04:54Our love life is dead.
04:55Try some plants instead.
04:57Woo!
04:58That was so good!
05:00We really nailed that one.
05:02Dating is hard.
05:03So is planting.
05:04But this is a little less stressful.
05:07So give it a try and thank you for watching.
05:10Bye guys.
