00:02so looking back at your childhood what was your relationship like with your appearance and how
00:07you saw yourself so it was quite negative always kind of comparing myself and basing my value on
00:16the way I look I expected people to always treat me badly because of how I thought of myself growing
00:23up it was a thing where I knew people were bullying me people obviously felt a way about
00:28how I looked I wanted to be the worst person or say the worst things to myself so that if
00:34anyone
00:35even tries to say anything it can't even touch me your first scene moment after school go to like
00:42West End a lot just like makeup artist who went out of her way to like really do my whole
00:48face for no
00:49reason she knew I had no money but she like taught me like tips and tricks like the reason why
00:55I was
00:55so surprised because I've never been able to do my eyebrows my eyebrows were pretty much white so
01:01when she taught me that I felt seen I felt like actually this is something that I can do what's
01:08one thing that you're passionate about I'm very passionate about spreading awareness about psoriasis
01:14about my condition before I started to post about my skin or anything like that I always wanted you know
01:21picture perfect Instagram and all of that but then I realized it's not you know it's not realistic to
01:26live that life and I wanted people to know okay look at me I've got psoriasis and I'm proud of
01:33who I am I'm
01:34happy with who I am and I can post it in crop top or bikini or whatever and if you've
01:40got acne why should you hide who you are?
01:42with me falling into modeling and public speaking did obviously stem off from my albinism I know that
01:48there's a lot of different things that people go through that although it may not be albinism also
01:53arises there's common ground that we can have in feeling pain about feeling marginalized for a certain
01:59thing in our life what is one lesson that you've learned that's really important to you? I think one
02:06that always comes to mind is that it's very important to be unapologetically you just because in the
02:12midst of the world that we live in and society it's just always important to find a home in yourself
02:17and be tranquil in who you are or who you are becoming what is something that is unexpected that
02:25has changed for you? when I was a bit younger I found it almost adamant to like please other people
02:31and just like try and fit into the crowd and I think like now I understand the value of peace
02:37and how
02:37much stress you get when you do try and appease other people even when you're going against yourself
02:42maybe it's not every situation that needs my attention or me to respond to them I just have to
02:48you know keep my mind uncle yeah
02:52you
