Mayon Volcano in Albay, Philippines, erupted on October 30, 2026, prompting authorities to raise its alert status from Level 2 to Level 3. According to PHIVOLCS, a moderately explosive eruption at 11:53 a.m. sent a dense ash plume approximately 3,000 metres above the summit crater. Ashfall was expected in nearby communities, including Daraga, Camalig and Guinobatan.

PHIVOLCS has recommended evacuations within the six-kilometre Permanent Danger Zone because of possible lava flows, pyroclastic density currents and rockfalls. Pilots have also been advised to avoid flying close to the volcano's summit. Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
