00:00Hi everyone, my name is Aysem. This is my dog Pusher and welcome to the sleeper office or my sweet
00:07dicks.
00:07So, come in. I live on the borders of Bushwick and Ridgewood. I live with my boyfriend August and with
00:13my puppy Pusher.
00:15We pay $2,700 per month. It's a good price for this apartment because it's newly renovated.
00:21It has laundry and dishwasher, which is amazing. We have our really, really wide kitchen.
00:26My favorite room is a kitchen because I love to cook. Every Sunday, all our friends come in here, we
00:33cook together and we have these amazing dinners together.
00:36It's extra nice because we don't have our families in the United States. You feel like at home, you feel
00:42like you're surrounded by one big family.
00:44This is our dining area with the big dining table. I don't know about you guys, but I love building
00:50IKEA furniture. It's like playing with Lego or something.
00:53It was $250, which is not that expensive for this huge table. It fits almost 12 people.
01:01So, you're going to notice that I have a lot of these stools. It's just because we have a lot
01:05of people coming over.
01:06So, let me guys know how many stools you can count in the comments.
01:10So, this is my living room. I'm from Russia. My boyfriend August is from Sweden.
01:15And for the last five years, we've been just like traveling around the world.
01:18That's why we kind of keep it simple. We keep it minimalistic. Every time we shop for the furniture, we
01:24usually buy not expensive and affordable things.
01:27And we usually buy it from IKEA. And I actually love that because it's Swedish.
01:32The other day, I was just browsing my Facebook feed and I saw the ads for a sheep's stool.
01:36So, of course, I got it. And it was only $50. I feel like now we have two pets.
01:42The one thing I usually carry with me around the world is my little orange box where I keep all
01:49the Polaroids and pictures with my friends.
01:52Also, August drew us a family portrait where you can see me, August, and this little black spot, which is
01:59my dog, Pusher.
02:00We got this carpet, but our dog decided it's going to be his little corner. So, basically, he owns it
02:08right now.
02:09So, me and August moved in together. We brought his record collection and the record player.
02:13So, I got this record when I was at the concert of Jens Leckmann. It's a Swedish artist.
02:18And he signed it especially for August. And it says for a stranger.
02:22It was just the beginning of a relationship, so everything was a little bit spicy.
02:25Some walls leaking. We have some stains on the walls sometimes, but we have an amazing landlord and they will
02:32take care of that in, like, two weeks or even less.
02:35This is the bathroom. They keep everything super simple and clean just because I don't want to focus on, like,
02:41any bright colors when I'm relaxing in my bathtub.
02:44I store everything on the shelves. So, here you can see it's a little bit messy, but then you close
02:51it and it looks perfectly.
02:53And then I also have this amazing Muji bottles. White and clean and, like, super sleek design.
02:58You pour your favorite shampoo in there and it looks just perfectly in this white interior.
03:04What else I buy from Muji is those toothbrush holders, which I feel, like, super, super cute.
03:08And here we have my bedroom. I'm a co-founder of this company called Sleeper.
03:14It's a sleepwear brand. Our pajamas and rope, you can not only wear inside, but you can also wear it
03:21outside.
03:21My bedroom also has this rack where I put all the sleeper stuff.
03:27I sometimes use my bedroom as a showroom.
03:29The most expensive thing in my apartment is this Casper mattress, which I got through the partnership with Sleeper.
03:37And I'm super lucky. It's $2,000 mattress.
03:39I feel really fancy when I sleep here.
03:42Since I've been working in fashion almost 10 years now, and that kind of made me realize the true cost
03:48of the product.
03:50So I would never spend a lot of money on the clothes and things like that.
03:55So same as my apartment.
03:57My wardrobe is really clean and really simple.
03:59In my next apartment, what I'm looking for is to have a second bedroom.
04:04I would use as my office and also the place where my friends can stay because we love to have
04:10people over.
04:11In my boyfriend, August, we met in San Francisco two years ago.
04:15We actually met four days before I moved to LA.
04:19So we had like this short distance relationship for a while.
04:22And then last year, we moved in together in New York.
04:25It was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.
04:28I feel like your home is where your family, where your friend is.
04:32So no matter where I am, no matter where the city I'm living right now,
04:36as long as I'm with August and my dog, I will be happy.
